Original 1912 program for the "Titanic" Band Memorial Concert
held at the Royal Albert Hall on Friday 24th May 1912 (Empire Day). Signed
on the inside by all six conductors : Sir Edward Elgar - London Symphony
Orchestra, Sir Henry Wood - Queen's Hall Orchestra, Mr Landon Ronald - New
Symphony Orchestra, Mr Thomas Beecham - Beecham Symphony Orchestra, Mr
Percy Pitt - Musical Director of the Royal Opera House, Mr Fritz Ernaldy,
London Opera House and Herr Mengelberg. Sir Edward Elgar also signed the
front of the cover in red pencil. The program is in good condition,
considering its age, with no missing pages. Approx. 7.5" x 10".

1955. The first blank leaf has the name Helena Dightram (1966) written
presumably in her hand, and underneath was an affixed signed photo of
Yehudi dedicated to her. This photo is now loose (and hasn't marked the
page). Lots of photos, this 320 page book is in good condition. A nice
first edition, even more fun with the signed picture. |
