envelope is. Quote from Charles Lindbergh to the top left corner of the
envelope reads "My reward will be your continued use of the Air
Mail", "Col. Chas. A. Lindbergh".
Some age wear throughout but nothing too bad, see photos, small 1cm tear
to the right of the envelope. Also corners are a little knocked.

A rare 19th
Century French embossed brass box or purse, believed to have been given to
a survivor of The Battle of Waterloo. The front is decorated with a
picture of a French soldier and his dog. On the top is the inscription
"Le Courage Malheureux" (the unfortunate courage or bravery) and
below the picture "Vaterloo 1815". The side of the box has a
pierced gallery design. The back of the box is made of leather and opens
up like the petals of a flower. Size 3 ¼" diameter, 1" deep. A
unique opportunity to obtain a possession of a soldier of Napoleon’s
army defeated at Waterloo. |

is the title of a German WWII Marching Song). Same graphics are engraved
on the harmonica.

quality brand". Small right hand flap of the box is missing.

& white portrait of a Fairey Fulmar II aircraft. The tail reads 'Royal Navy'.
72083(?), it has what looks like a Merlin Rolls Royce engine, guns in the
wings and an observation area around the middle.
The back of the frame has an affixed sticker presumably from the original
envelope (see photo).
Lovely and clear large original publicity photograph from "The
Publicity Dept, Fairey Aviation Co. Ltd., Heston".
Overall size is approximately 21" x 16". Could do with a new
frame, the old tape has split and come loose. |

leaflet dropped (apparently from Lancaster C-Charlie) over "Elberfeld-Wuppertal
Raid June 1943" (which has been handwritten to the top left). The
front appears to show the tonnage of bombs dropped on London and Dortmund
over 3 years, culminating with the huge tonnage of 1943 from bomber
command, compared to the German tonnage of only 50 tons on London.
The reverse has a speech from Churchill, and a graphic of Hitler marching
with the devil through a bomb site. There are also quotes from Goering
from 1938, Hermann Burte 1940 and Field Marshall Milch 1941. Just over
10" x 8 1/2", overall creases, lightweight book paper. |

ZEPPELIN
Vintage 1930’s LZ 127 Graf Zeppelin postcard souvenir pull-out booklet,
with cachet to front stating they were sold on the return from the world
voyage "Zur Erinnerung an die Rückkehr des Luftschiffes Graf
Zeppelin von der Weltreise". The front also states that it contains
10 different real photographic postcards. These depict Count Zeppelin and
interiors of the LZ127, including cabin, lounge, kitchen etc…,
Friedrichshafen and a diagram of the Airship. It is in good condition
considering its age. Approx. 6" x 4.5". Rare.
LZ 127, the Graf Zeppelin - Arguably
the most important Zeppelin ever built, the Graf Zeppelin proved what
could be done with a properly run and maintained Zeppelin. The Graf
Zeppelin was the ultimate in passenger air travel for the day and could
put any modern commercial jet to shame when it comes to comfort and style.
The Graf was first walked out of her hangar on the 18th of September,
1928. She would fly farther than any Zeppelin before or since.
