BOOKENDS Charming vintage set of ceramic bookends depicting two young boys very smartly dressed (they remind me of the German Max und Moritz). A very small chip to the bottom rear edge of right side bookend (hardly noticeable). No particular markings but I can notice a very faint mark of an engraved number under the left side bookend. Bookends have at some stage been filed with sand or similar substance, to add weight. Approximately 6" x 4.5" x 2.5". |

Victorian Child's Booty dipped in copper. Tradition was to keep the child's first shoes by dipping them in copper. It made a lovely keepsake! There is a brass plaque affixed to the sole of the shoe which reads "A. Kohler & Cie, China Silberwarenfabrik, Wien", the sole also has the number 130 written. The copper is apparent but it could do with a good polish. A charming little memento from days gone by. Shoe is approx. 4 3/4" long. | £20 |
