Sir Winston Churchill sculpture by Oscar Nemon. At the command of H.M. The

commissioned Spode to reproduce it for sale. Made of fine Bone
China, finished, not by glazing but by careful polishing by hand, thus
preserving every detail of the original.

FUGI'S
BAR ADMIRAL

there is a little crackle glazing here and there and some of the paint has
been touched-up (nothing too bad). Not mint but no 'obvious' damage, a
little surface chip off the knee maybe.... There is a certain charm to
this possibly unique Toby Jug. |

This
is a very old mug. The graphic shows a story, presumably from right to
left, a policeman (or similar!) is having his lunch under a tree, a monkey
or a little devil seems to steal a 'drumstick', the man chases him (stick
in hand) but the devil is too fast, and ends up with a young lady! Now I
have no idea of what is going on here!! The cup is in acceptable
condition, there are a few gnarly bits to the rim. I'm selling this
as a 19th c. piece but it could be earlier. Approximately 3" tall. No
maker's name. |
